Review: White House Down (2013) 1/2 (out of 4) By Roger Ebert said: I hated, hated, hated this movie. Roland Emmerich's latest disaster is about a cop (Channing Tatum) who takes his daughter on a tour of the White House when terrorists take over and try to take the President (Jamie Foxx) hostage. Now the police, whose daughter really can not stand, trying to impress him when he saved the day with his favorite president. To begin, go see Olympus fell like an action movie better and deal with the same subject. Sorry, but if you were doing Emmerich movies in the 70s they'd probably play third bill at a drive-in before the sun comes up. I really can not wrap my brain around how someone can make such bad movies, one after another. Did he do it on purpose? Surely he could not make this movie so bad as it is, without doing it on purpose. Everything from the story is the act CGI effects are simply very bad and all you have Emmerichs style behind it. I mean, we had to actually find this movie touching and patriotic? Foxx's character obviously inspired by Obama, but if this was to be a tribute then failed because it appears very embarrassing. Worse still are the bits of comedy, including some of the worst one-critics will ever hear. Even worse accióny terrible scenes of some of the worst effects of the action looking CGI you'll see this side of the SyFy production. Then, you have an incredibly awful subplot dealing with teen daughter movie is a complete arm, but try to make it out as a kind of national heroes. This whole story is just a bit full shame and makes me shiver as I see it. I usually call the actress, but it was just a really bad head position and put it in its almost as bad as Smith in AFTER EARTH Garden. Allow two never pray for their teams. Both Tatum and Foxx are clearly simply collecting paychecks and great character actors like James Woods, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Allen Jenkins are losing the role of foundation. There are some moments here that are so incredibly bad that kould help laughing at them, but unfortunately the movie is too long to enjoy it as a simple laugh terrible movie.
