Review: Prisoners are extremely exciting and equally disturbing. Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, the last film Incendies which was equally interesting and disturbing, tension builds in the first frame, and do not miss the full 153 minutes of film. Aaron Guzikowskis script, but the surface of child abduction thriller, Hollywood trends and bucks each, and that tight thriller, raises serious ethical issues. It also helps that the film is very good at the work unpaid cast: Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Terence Howard, Melissa Leo, Viola Davis and Maria Bello. Prisoners not for the faint heated, but it is likely to feature in next years Oscars.
